Another milestone!

22 days left until our transfer  and our cycle is officially, officially starting (even though we've felt it started 9 days ago).  Today Bridget had her suppression ultrasound which she passed with flying colors, to no one's surprise!  :)

A suppression ultrasound is done to give us a baseline.  Bridget's baseline state was induced by her taking Lupron for the last 9 days.  This ensures that her ovaries do not release eggs of her own prior to the embryo transfer.  What I've learned is that most Physicians consider this the actual starting point of the IVF cycle.  Good to know.  ;)

Bridget's appointment was at 9:45 am, she messaged me by 9:55 am saying how easy the appointment was and that the clinic in Idaho where she is being monitored said the ultrasound looked great.  Within an hour and a half I heard from our nurse coordinator, Leigh at SRM giving Bridget the green light to move on to the next level of medications.  We're moving up!  Tomorrow she starts Estrace, Aspirin and gets to decrease the Lupron.  I'm sure that will be a relief.

Cody received all of this news while still at work today.  He was so excited to hear that everything is going well and we are on track.  We are celebrating together, very far apart, I can't wait for him to get home!  And he can't either.

We are so blessed to have so much love and support in our lives.  Our friends and families are so important to have on this journey, if you're reading this- Thank you, we love you.  💚
